Washboard Water Abnormal
Dreame: Abnormal washboard water level or dirty tank will not pump
Applies to: Dreame. Meanings can vary by model — trust the voice alert on your unit.
What causes it?
Dreame base stations (X40, X50, L40, L30, L10s Ultra Gen2) pump used water off the washboard into the sewage tank through an airtight path. Sludge in the sewage outlet, a blocked tray filter, dirty overflow sensors, or a tank lid that does not seal stops the pump drawing water, so the app reports an abnormal washboard water level, leakage, or a dirty tank that cannot pump.
How to fix it
- Remove the washboard, clear sludge from the sewage outlet underneath, and wipe the metal overflow sensors dry.
- Clean the sewage filter and any connected drain pipe.
- Empty the dirty-water tank, clean the sealing rings and lid so it is airtight, and fasten the clip.
- Press the tank firmly down so the seal seats.
- Remove the cleaning tray, empty it, rinse the tray filter, dry the base, and refit tray and washboard.
- If pumping still fails with clean seals and a clear outlet, the station pump needs repair.
