What BotRescue provides

We publish free online diagnosis helpers and DIY repair guides for robot vacuums, pool cleaners, lawn robots, and related devices, and may link to third-party parts (including Amazon AU). Hands-on repair is offered via a Brisbane mobile workshop (bring-your-robot meetups) and, as a last resort, Australia-wide mail-in when DIY is unsafe or a meetup is not practical — not the default service path.

DIY & safety

Guides are general information, not a guarantee that a fix will succeed on your unit.
Follow manufacturer safety instructions. Unplug power; avoid work you are not competent to do.
Sealed electronics, high-voltage docks, lithium batteries, and water-damaged boards can be hazardous — stop and seek professional help if unsure.
You are responsible for damage to your device, property, or injury arising from DIY attempts.

Brisbane mobile workshop (if offered)

We run a mobile workshop that moves around Brisbane each week. After we confirm by email, you bring your robot (and any parts you have) to that week’s stop — typically a public meeting spot such as near a park. When the van is on a public stop, its live GPS pin appears on the repair-page map; we can hide the pin when travelling or off-duty.
Submit a request first. Do not attend a stop until we confirm acceptance, time window, and meeting details by email.
When broadcasting, a live GPS pin may appear on the public repair-page map. Visibility can be turned off when travelling or off-duty; do not treat the map as a private residential address.
You are responsible for transporting your robot safely to and from the meetup. We are not a door-to-door call-out service by default.
Meetup locations may be public spaces. Follow any site rules; leave no litter; keep interactions brief and respectful of other park users.
Repair quotes are given after assessment where possible. We may advise DIY/parts instead when that is more economic.

Mail-in repair (if offered)

Submit a request first. Do not ship until we confirm acceptance and address details.
You arrange and pay postage both ways (to Brisbane and back). We do not include courier costs in the repair quote.
Ship the robot body only unless we ask for the dock or tank. Larger docks make postage expensive — try DIY parts first.
Repair quotes are given after intake where possible. Round-trip postage plus labour and parts may approach the cost of a new unit — we may advise against mail-in when it is uneconomic.
We are not liable for courier loss or damage in transit; insure valuable shipments.

Accuracy of content

We aim for source-backed guides, but models and firmware change. Error codes and steps may not match every revision. Content is provided “as is” without warranties of completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law (which may give you non-excludable rights).

Acceptable use

Do not abuse forms, scrape the site in a way that degrades service, attempt unauthorised access, or use the site for unlawful purposes. We may block abusive traffic.

Intellectual property

Site branding, original text, and original diagrams are owned by BotRescue or our licensors. You may link to our pages; do not republish substantial content without permission.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BotRescue is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or DIY repairs. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you cannot waive under Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Courts in Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we revise them.
