Cannot Return to Dock
Dreame: Robot cannot find, return to, or complete docking
Applies to: Dreame. Meanings can vary by model — trust the voice alert on your unit.
What causes it?
Dreame robots dock using the base station's signal area and charging contacts. Docking fails when the station has too little clearance, was moved mid-clean, faces a mirror or window, the signal window or charging pins are dirty, or a drive wheel slips on a wet floor in front of the station.
How to fix it
- Confirm the station is powered and was not moved, and clear obstacles around it.
- Place it against a wall with about 5 cm clear each side and 1.
- 5 m clear in front, away from mirrors and windows opposite.
- Wipe the station signal area, charging-contact window, and charging pins with a dry cloth.
- Put the robot 1–2 m in front and press Return; start cleans from the dock so the map stays linked.
- Check the drive wheels are free and not slipping on a wet floor.
- If docking still fails, the dock beacon or robot sensor needs repair.
