Unable to Dock
Roborock: Robot cannot find or climb onto the dock
Applies to: Roborock. Meanings can vary by model — trust the voice alert on your unit.
What causes it?
Roborock robots find the dock by its front signal area. Docking fails when the dock has too little clearance, the dock signal window or the robot's front recharge sensors are dirty, the dock was moved after mapping, or a rug, cable, or chair blocks the climb.
How to fix it
- Place the dock against a wall with about 0.
- 5 m clear on each side and 1.
- 5 m clear in front.
- Wipe the dock's front signal area and the robot's front and recharge sensors.
- If the dock was moved, place the robot nearby and tap Return to dock so the map position updates.
- Clear rugs, cables, and chairs from the approach.
- If docking still fails with clean sensors and clear space, the dock beacon or robot sensor needs repair.
