Quick answers
What is wrong?
After a fall, motors enter braking/self-protection and the robot will not resume until cleared safely.
What you might notice
- Motors braked after fall
- Will not resume motion after tip-over
- Protective stop after slip
Can I fix this myself?
Usually yes for the checks below. Difficulty: medium · about 10-20 min. If unsafe or unresolved, use meetup / mail-in repair.
What you need
- Official remote
- Clear floor
- Second person if lifting
Do this
- Trigger damping/soft stop from the remote before approaching. Confirm joints have de-energised.
- Inspect for cracked covers, loose cables, or debris in joints before any restart (Unitree fall FAQ + field support practice).
- Use the recovery / get-up routine from the remote when firmware supports it. If lifting by hand, use two people and frame points — never lift by arms or head.
- Recurring protective stops with the same fault need Unitree support or BotRescue bench assessment.
Parts (only if cleaning fails)
- None for a basic check
