- No ankle limit click/sound while suspended
- Stuck before ready/damping unlock
Can I fix this myself?
Usually yes for the checks below. Difficulty: medium · about 15-30 min. If unsafe or unresolved, use meetup / mail-in repair.
What you need
- Protective frame / suspension
- Official remote
Do this
- Keep the robot suspended on a protective frame with clear space — do not power-cycle while unsupported on the feet.
- Recheck the manual “Check before Power on” and “Preparation before Power on” steps: battery seated with a click, remote charged, limbs free of entanglement.
- Short-press then long-press (>2 s) the battery power button to restart. Wait a full minute for zero-torque initialisation.
- If self-test still fails, stop repeated forced boots and contact Unitree support (support@unitree.cc) or book BotRescue assessment — do not force joints by hand.
